A quick introduction to who I am, what I focus on, and where I am heading in cybersecurity.
I'm Mohamed Ahmed Elmahdy, a Cybersecurity student at Alexandria National University with a strong interest in Security Operations, Threat Detection, Network Security, and Incident Response.
I enjoy analyzing security alerts, understanding how attacks happen, and investigating incidents step by step to identify the real cause behind suspicious activity.
My goal is to build a career as a SOC Analyst, where I can combine technical knowledge, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills to help organizations detect and respond to cyber threats.
I continuously work on improving my practical skills through cybersecurity projects, labs, training programs, and hands-on experience with security tools and technologies.

July 2025 – September 2025
Completed 60 hours of CCNA training focused on networking fundamentals, IP addressing, subnetting, routing, switching, and core network concepts.
July 2026 – August 2026
Completed 120 hours of cybersecurity training, including 90 technical hours and 30 soft-skills hours. The technical training focused on Fortinet security technologies, firewall concepts, network security, and practical cybersecurity fundamentals.
July 2026 – December 2026
Developing hands-on skills in Security Operations and Incident Response through practical labs and security scenarios, with a focus on alert triage, threat detection, incident investigation, and SOC workflows.
Expected Graduation: July 2027
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, building a strong foundation in information security, networking, operating systems, secure programming, and cybersecurity management.
